LEAD-FREE BRASS

We have began to use lead-free brass! Water meters (and other products) that are made of brass will now be produced from lead-free special brass only. The new lead-free material is approved to be used in touch with drinking water and is safer and more eco friendly material. At the same time the use of epoxy coating on lead-free brass products will be stopped.

The use of brass products containing lead is forbidden to use in contact with drinking water starting from 2013 (Q4) in Germany, France, England and The Netherlands. (Drinking Water Ordinance.)
